The Government of Gujarat, with the support of DRDO and Gujarat University, has set up a 900-bed hospital through the Gujarat University Consultancy Foundation (GUCF). The Dhanvantari COVID Hospital (DCH) aims to alleviate the stress on the healthcare infrastructure of the state due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
The hospital is linked hospital of the VS Hospital, Ahmedabad, as its base. The hospital functions as a Referral Hospital, with no OPD, in order to provide efficient and dedicated critical care to COVID patients.
